Modified on Tue, 28 Apr at 3:01 PM

Supplier costs fluctuate constantly. When a manufacturer changes their pricing or product sizing, updating these details in your software is essential to prevent hidden profit leaks. By editing or deleting professional products as your backbar inventory changes, you ensure your service pricing always reflects your true overheads, allowing you to instantly see if you are operating at a profit or a loss.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Menu, select Services, and then click on Professional Products.

  2. Locate the specific professional product on the page that you want to edit or delete.

  3. To edit: Update the price field and/or the number of uses field. Any changes made here are autosaved instantly.

  4. To delete: Click the trash can icon next to the professional product.

Reading Your Results

Any edits to pricing or yields will instantly push to your respective service lists, automatically recalculating the exact profit or loss margin for those services based on your newly updated backbar overheads.

Applying This Data

When you accurately track rising supplier costs by editing your professional products, the software instantly updates your service margins. This real-time data empowers you to confidently make a necessary price adjustment to protect your margins without absorbing the extra costs yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Do I need to manually update my service list after editing a product's price?

A: No. Because your professional products are linked to your service list, any autosaved changes you make to a product's price or number of uses will instantly update the calculations for every service that product is attached to.

Q: What happens to my service list if I delete a professional product?

A: When you click the trash can to delete a professional product, it is immediately removed from your account and automatically removed from any services it was attached to. The pricing and profit calculations for those respective services will instantly change to reflect the removal of that product.
