How to Edit and Delete Product Brands

Modified on Tue, 28 Apr at 2:41 PM

Keeping your professional product brands organized is essential for accurately tracking your backbar expenses. Whether you are switching color lines or removing discontinued stock from your salon, updating your product groups ensures your exact overheads are calculated correctly, preventing hidden losses on your chemical services.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Menu, select Services, and then click on Professional Products.

  2. Click on the Product Groups button. This will open a pop-up window.

  3. To Edit a Brand/Group: In the list below the creation field, click on the name of the brand you wish to change. Type the new name. The system will autosave as soon as the changes are made.

  4. To Delete a Brand/Group: Locate the brand in the list and click the trash can to delete it. Important: You must assign existing professional products to a new brand or group before deleting their current one. If you delete a brand, any products saved under it may disappear from your professional products list.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Why did my professional products disappear after I deleted a brand?

A: If individual professional products are attached to a brand or group that is deleted, they lose their grouping and may disappear from your main list. Always reassign your individual products to a new, active brand before deleting their old one.

Q: Do I need to click a save button after editing a brand name?

A: No. When you change a name in the product groups list, the system autosaves your changes instantly.
