WHAT IS SERVICE LISTS

In Insightful Sums, Service List refers to all of the services and treatments that you provide in your salon. 

GETTING STARTED

To get to your SERVICE LIST, click on Services > Service List

Just like creating your SERVICE PRODUCTS, you need to create your SERVICE CATEGORIES first. This is to make searching for your Services easier and keeps everything neat and tidy.

Firstly, click on the CREATE/EDIT CATEGORY button

This will open a the Category popup window

From here, simply start creating categories to group your Service List by. 

You are able to EDIT your Categories from this popup, by click on the name and editing it directly in the field.

If you wish to DELETE a Category, you can do this by clicking on the TRASH CAN icon.

***Please note that once your Service Product Group is deleted, it is unable to be retrieved in the future***

SERVICE LIST

Now that you have created your Service Categories, you can start adding in your services. The first thing that you want to do is click on ADD SERVICE

This will take you through to the ADD SERVICE page. From here, you can start filling in...

• Service Name
• Category
• Timing
• Price

Once you have created this information, make sure you click on the SAVE SERVICE button

***Please note: 

• Timing is listed as hh:mm. This means that when you are adding an appointment that takes 2 hours and 45mins, it would look like 02:45. 
• When recording timings, DO NOT count processing time or time that the customer is not being directly attended to by yourself or your team. 

ADDING SERVICE PRODUCTS

You will now see a new section become available.....

Here, you can start adding the products that you use during this service. The PRODUCT NAME field is a search field and will do a search on your SERVICE PRODUCTS that you entered in the previous steps

The QTY field refers to how many of the SERIVCE PRODUCTS are used during the treatment. For example, you may use 4 x Spatulas when providing a brow treatment or 5 grams of a hair dye. 

Click on the PLUS icon to add these to your NEW SERVICE. 

You will now see each SERVICE PRODUCT that you use in this service, populate on the right hand screen

If you make a mistake, you can change your PRODUCT QTY in this field. You can also DELETE this product here as well

The PRODUCT COSTS field refers to the cost of the SERVICE PRODUCT, for this particular treatment
