WHAT ARE SERVICE PRODUCTS?

Service Products are the products that are used in the delivery of providing a service to your customer. Service Products are considered as 

• Tissues
• Wax 
• Spatulas
• Tints
• Dyes
• Spoolies
• Shampoos
• Conditioners etc.......
  

Any and ALL products that you use to complete a particular service. 

IMPOTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SERVICE PRODUCTS?

Recording your Service Products correctly is important to ensure that your Service Lists are calculated with the right information.

The PURCHASE PRICE refers to the purchase price of a single item. For example a tube of hair colour is $45.95 per tube.

The # OF TREATMENTS refers to the number of services that you can provide from the single product. 

For example, the same tube of colour 100g, which you can record as 100 treatments. If it is a lash lift solution, you purchase a kit of 30 sachets, however you can do 2 treatments per sachet, you would record this as 60 treatments. 

GETTING STARTED

Getting Started is super easy! Firstly, head to Services > Service Products

PRODUCT GROUPS

From here, the most important thing you need to do, is to add your Service Product Categories. This will keep your Service Products neat and tidy and will make finding them in the future, so much easier. 

Click on PRODUCT GROUP to start creating your categories

Create the NAME of your PRODUCT GROUP and then click ADD GROUP. The names you give your categories are only restricted to your imagination. You can group your Service Products by Treatment Name, the Brand of the product or by any other way that it will make it easier for you to find them in the future.

Once you have created your PRODUCT GROUPS they will be displayed in the pop-up list, as well as on the left hand side of the SERVICE PRODUCTS page. To exit the pop-up, simply click anywhere off of the screen.

To DELETE your Service Products Groups, simply click on the Trash Can icon to delete them. 

***Please note that once your Service Product Group is deleted, it is unable to be retrieved in the future***

SERVICE PRODUCTS

Now that you have create groups to keep your SERVICE PRODUCTS neat and tidy, it is time to start adding your Service Products into Insightful Sums

Click on ADD PRODUCT and a pop-up will appear 

In the popup window is where you create your Service Products. 

Fill in each field as you go, to record each product that you use to provide your services, in your salon.

Once you have added all of your Service Products, you can move onto creating your Service List
